Site Preparation and Grading Across the OKC Metro

Ground Shaped, Leveled, and Drained Before Anyone Builds on It

Clearing a lot is only half the job. Before anything gets built, the ground has to be shaped, leveled, and drained so the pad holds and water goes where it should. We handle construction site prep and grading for homes, commercial buildings, and developments across the OKC metro, and we know what central Oklahoma soil does when you cut and fill it.

We take a cleared site to a finished, buildable grade: rough grading, building pads, cut and fill, and final grading services tuned for drainage. As a site development contractor that also clears and excavates, we carry a project from raw land to a ready pad without handing it off between crews. Every job starts with a free on-site look, so you get a firm number before a machine moves.

What Our Site Prep Covers

Construction Site Prep From Rough Grade to Finish Grade

Four pieces of the same job. We handle all of them with one crew, so the pad, the drainage, and the access all get built to work together.

Construction Site Prep

Getting a site ready for construction: rough grading, building pads, and shaping the ground so the build starts on solid, level footing.

Final Grading

The finish grade that sets drainage and gets a site ready for foundation, slab, or landscaping. This is where a site either drains right or fights you later.

Cut and Fill

Moving material to level a sloped or uneven site, balancing the dirt on-site where we can to keep haul costs down.

Pad and Access Prep

Building the pad and the access it needs, so equipment and deliveries can reach the site during construction.

What Build-Ready Actually Means

Three Things We Check Before We Call a Pad Done

A Level, Stable Pad

Level is not the same as solid. We cut and fill to the target elevation, then place the fill in lifts and compact as we go, so the pad does not settle under a slab after the first wet spring.

Water That Leaves the Pad

Final grading services live or die on drainage. We set the finish grade so water runs off the pad and away from the building line instead of pooling against it. Red clay holds water, and standing water on a pad is a problem you end up paying for twice.

Ground the Next Trade Can Work

The plumber, the concrete crew, and the framer all have to get on the site. We leave clean, workable ground and an access route a loaded truck can actually use, so the next trade is not calling you about a rutted mess.

Do You Need Site Prep?

You Probably Need Site Preparation If...

  • You have a cleared lot that still needs to be leveled and drained
  • A builder needs a finished pad before they can start
  • The site slopes or holds water and has to be reshaped
  • You want one contractor to take the land from cleared to build-ready

If any of these sound like your site, a free walk-through is the fastest way to find out how much dirt has to move and what the grade really takes.

Site Preparation Cost in Oklahoma

How Much Does Site Preparation Cost?

Site prep is priced per job, after an on-site look. There is no honest flat rate we can quote sight unseen, because two lots of the same size can be completely different jobs once you know how much dirt has to move and where the water goes. What we can promise is a firm number before any work starts, and a free estimate to get it.

Site Preparation FAQs

Site Prep Questions, Answered

How much does site preparation cost?
Site prep is priced per job. It depends on the size of the site, how much dirt has to move, the grade and drainage you need, and access. We give you a firm number after walking the site, and the estimate is free.
Do you do the clearing and the grading?
Yes. We can take a property from raw, wooded land through clearing, grubbing, and grading to a finished pad, all with one crew, so nothing falls through the cracks between contractors.
Can you work from my builder's site plan?
Yes. We grade to the target elevations and drainage your builder or engineer specifies so the pad matches the plans.
Why does drainage matter so much here?
Central Oklahoma clay holds water and moves when it is wet, then bakes hard. If the finish grade does not carry water away from the pad, you get standing water and problems down the line. Getting the grade right up front is cheaper than fixing it later.
What is construction site prep?
Construction site prep is everything that happens to raw or cleared ground before a builder can start. On most of our jobs that means clearing and grubbing what is left, stripping topsoil, cutting and filling to get the site level, compacting the pad, shaping the finish grade so water drains away, and building the access the site needs during construction. Done right, the builder shows up to a pad they can lay out on the first morning.
Do you offer final grading services to a builder's target elevations?
Yes. Send us the site plan and we grade to the target elevations and drainage your builder or engineer specifies, then walk the finished pad with them before we pull off. If something on the plan will not drain the way central Oklahoma ground actually behaves, we say so before we cut it, not after.
Are you a site development contractor or just clearing?
Both, and that is the point. One crew clears, grubs, excavates, and grades, so a property can go from wooded or overgrown to a finished pad without you coordinating three outfits and eating the gaps between them. If your job only needs the grading side, we do that too.
